And,
now for SUNNY'S SIMPLE AND DELICIOUS...
Viennese Potato Cream Soup:
2
medium-sized potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch cubes
2 cups water
1
small onion, chopped
2 teaspoons chicken stock base
1/2 teaspoon salt
dash
pepper
1 tablespoon flour
2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon marjoram (optional)
1
cup sour cream
chopped fresh chives
Add potatoes to the water with the
onion, chicken stock base,
salt, and pepper; cover and cook until the potatoes
are
tender (but not soft), 5 to 7 minutes. Meanwhile blend
the flour with milk;
gradually stir into the soup, and simmer,
uncovered, for about 5 minutes. Season
with marjoram, if desired.
Reduce heat, add some of the hot soup to the sour
cream,
then stir back into the soup; heat but do not boil.
Thanks, Sunny,
